Last month, ORBITGear released its urban lifestyle-inspired CIGSeries 2020 collection, which included four new bags that accommodated to commuting needs while providing protection against the elements. This time, the brand’s Fall/Winter 2019 ADV Series Collection: LIQUID BLACK, updates three original bag silhouettes and one new one with high grade components and waterproof hardware for a sophisticated yet modern look.

Inspired by the night rain, the bags embody two opposite matters that blend into one. They are “fluid yet solid and lightweight but exceptionally strong,” giving off a lustrous all-black sheen. The collection includes styles from the “R Series Messenger System;” designs mix military and technical gear’s practicality with urban explorer and bike messenger’s rugged functionality.

Made with Sailcloth fabric with PET film coating for improved waterproofness, the “R231,” a large waterproof messenger bag, is designed to fit a 15.4-inch laptop. Its smaller counterparts, the “R221” and “R211,” can carry a 14-inch and 12-inch computer, respectively. Rounding out the collection is a newly designed small sling bag, the “M300-IR Sacoche,” made with liquid black laminated fabric and a light-reactive iridescent fabric that allows it to change color under direct light exposure.

Handmade at ORBITGear’s in-house studio in Jakarta, Indonesia, each “R Series” bag is available with AustriAlpin COBRA buckles or Fidlock MAGNETIC fasteners.

Retailing from $68 to $298 USD, the LIQUID BLACK collection is available to purchase now on ORBITGear’s website and at select retailers.

Elsewhere, AAPE and Eastpak team up for an exclusive winter capsule including three of the latter’s iconic bags.
