BMX Rider Kriss Kyle Turns Denmark into One Big Bike Park
“The Danish bike culture is insane.”
Scottish BMX rider Kriss Kyle recently traveled through the country of Denmark, turning the Scandinavian nation into one big bike park.
Organized by Redbull and VisitDenmark, the three week journey took Kyle through Copenhagen, Aarhus, Jutland, Løkken, Falster Island, Møn Island and Klampenborg, where he did a variety of stunts and tricks from paragliding with his bike to riding in an underwater aquarium with sharks.
After the experience, Kyle remarked: “I was absolutely blown away with how many beautiful sites and landmarks there was to see once we left Copenhagen behind. Denmark has so much to offer as a country. It is without a doubt one of the favourite places I’ve visited – and I’ve travelled the world.” He continued, “The Danish bike culture is insane. I have never been to a place where there are so many people on bikes. I’ve also never been to a city and been able to ride any spot or location without getting hassled by people saying ‘you can’t ride that’. In Denmark, they were stoked to see me ride whatever I wanted.”
