Jorja Smith Taps Ms Banks for Club-Ready Cadenza & AoD Remix of "Be Honest"
Turning the afrobeat single into a nightlife-ready banger.
Following the release of her Burna Boy-featuring hit “Be Honest,” R&B upstart Jorja Smith has now enlisted Ms Banks, Cadenza, and AoD for a brand new remix of the track.
Smith has been on an incredible run over the past two years, managing to channel an eclectic vision of UK’s thriving music scene by tapping an array of the locale’s production talent. Most notably, her 2017 hit “On My Mind” recruited UK garage producer Preditah to offer up a slice of the region’s underground dance music.
Dropping just a few days prior, the remix, courtesy of Cadenza and AoD, features a brand new verse from fellow UK R&B heartthrob Ms Banks. Cadenza and AoD lend their electronic sensibilities to the remix’s forefront, combining elements of drill and grime that effectually turn the afrobeat-track into a club-ready cut.
