NAPA by Martine Rose has dropped bold cold-weather jackets from its FW19 collection — seen in the video lookbook from two weeks ago. Rich palettes of blue and yellow gloss over a fleece button-up, parka and stewart jacket in a vibrant medley of intricate patterns.
First up is a button-up Jacket, detailed with irregular streaks of blue, black, yellow, grey, and white all over. The piece comes with a full spread collar and snap buttons, complemented by “NAPA by Martine Rose” branding at the bottom right hem. To offset the delicate exterior, the inner collars are lined with a sleek nylon satin that offers comfort around the neck. The next piece is the A-Jag Jacket. As its name denotes, the jacket is emblazoned with a bright hazy jaguar pattern that shines over an outer shell made from nylon twill. It comes with a raised collar and stowaway hood, a concealed two-way zip closure, zipper pockets at the chest and flap pockets at the waist, while other parts like the patch logo, adjustable velcro cuffs and subtle cinching at the back round up the piece.
Lastly, the Blue Check Stewart Jacket is the most muted among the three. Reconstructed, the garment features a slew of brown and red plaid wool panels over a smooth navy-toned shell. The checkered patterns are emblazoned around the back collars, yoke, arms and the front chest, alternating asymmetrically on opposite sides of the jacket. To match the classic pattern, the silhouette has been built with a slightly high waisted cut, giving the piece a distinctive retro-sporty look.
All three NAPA by Martine Rose jackets are currently available at SSENSE.COM, from $365 – $1,075 USD, respectively.
Elsewhere, KAPITAL has upcycled two vintage military-inspired cardigans.
