Kanye West & IMAX Reveal Official Trailer for 'Jesus Is King' Film

Following IMAX’s ticket launch, Kanye West has revealed the trailer for his upcoming documentary film for Jesus Is King. As previously noted, the Nick Knight-directed film “features songs arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with new music from his forthcoming album Jesus Is King — all presented in the immersive sound and stunning clarity of The IMAX Experience.”
Within the trailer, an illustration of James Turrell’s never-before-seen Roden Crater installation in Arizona’s Painted Desert is highlighted. As it unfolds, the camera zooms into the light at the end of the tunnel-like structure, revealing a bible verse from Mark 1:15 that states “In the words of Jesus Christ, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe in the gospel.’” This is all met by a Sunday Service-esque gospel that marks the trailer’s soundtrack.
