Towards the end of December, Nike and Jordan Brand announced the silhouettes that will be part of 2019’s ”Chinese New Year” collection. Today Nike shares an official look at the offering’s Kyrie 5 model. The Boston Celtics’ electric guard sees his fifth signature sneaker add a black base with an array of colors to its Flytrap lacing system, heel and outsole. The bright hits celebrate the Year of the Pig with a traditional Chinese quilted pattern dubbed Bai Jai Yi.
The Nike Kyrie 5 “CNY” releases on February 5 for $130 USD at select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike SNKRS. Those looking for a simpler hoop shoe from Nike can also take a look at the PG 3 in black and white.
