Animal Collective Set to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' Album

Set celebrate the 10th anniversary of its lauded Merriweather Post Pavilion album, Animal Collective recently took to Instagram to tease a series of “sights and sounds” releases related to the album. Thanking its fans, the band posted a set of images to offer a behind-the-scenes look at their studio during the recording of the project and tease some of its upcoming releases.
Merriweather Post Pavilion, the American band’s eighth album, was released on January 6, 2009 and features Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist. Hitting number two on the US Top Independent Albums list and number 13 on US Billboard 200, the album also sold a staggering 200,000 copies by 2012.
