Y's by Yohji Yamamoto Focuses on Louche Tailoring for SS19
Classic silhouettes get the baggy treatment.

Y’s debuted its Spring/Summer 2019 collection during Paris Fashion Week with another round of Yohji Yamamoto‘s signature tailoring. This season, the label’s hallmark black and white separates pivoted on volume with an uncommon appearance of bright colors and contrast patterns.
The ready-to-wear women’s range leaned heavily on classic men’s silhouettes via baggy suit jackets, shirting, trousers, utility pocket vests and staple outerwear styles such as trench coats, anoraks and Mackintoshes. The second part of the collection veered away from standard Y’s monochromatism into a more playful and vibrant range featuring bright red and blue with an emphasis on polka dots, stripes, mesh knits and a heritage jacquard pattern.
