Stone Island Reimagines Its Ice Jacket in Dyneema Bonded Leather
In collaboration with ECCO Leather and The Dyneema® Project.
Continuing its Fall/Winter 2018 releases, Stone Island recently released its latest take on its popular Ice Jacket.
This time around Massimo Osti‘s outerwear label looked to reintroduce its popular style as its first heat-sensitive leather garment. Teaming up with ECCO Leather and The Dyneema® Project, to create DYNEEMA® Bonded Leather, the jacket is constructed of the 0.5-millimetre-thick material which features the luxurious look of leather with the strength of Dyneema®. Additionally, the manufactured material is coated with a thermosensitive agent that holds micro-encapsulated pigment molecules that cause the resin coating to change colors in response to lower temperature. Rounding up the impressive outerwear piece features a removable premium down liner and storage pockets throughout.
Priced at $5,210 USD (approximately $3,998 USD), the Stone Island Dyneema Bonded Leather Ice Jacket is available now at select retailers like HAVEN.
