After taking a two-year hiatus, Bay Area-born, LA-based rapper Symba is back delivering a fiery collection of songs balancing club-ready hooks with deft, incisive narratives with his 13-track sophomore album, 2 More Words, featuring Iamsu!, Young Gully, Marc E. Bassy, YMTK. Premiered today, the honest, street anthem-filled album leans from the post-hyphy mob music-filled “How You Rockin” to the dramatic, wretchingly honest anthem, “Welcome to Fame.”

“I feel in my career right now, after years of witnessing the ‘crabs in the bucket’ syndrome that plagues the Bay Area rap scene, a new side of me is coming out. I’m done handing out favors, I’ve cut disloyal people out of my life, no more leaches or moochers. For once, I’m putting myself first and 2 More Words is me sharing intimate stories of the battles I’ve been through. I’m proud of the fact that the album doesn’t sound like any other artist, and the beats, the mix, the content, some of the controversial shit I say is a little different from what’s out there. I’m glad that it’s not what nobody else is doing or talking about.”
