Moncler Genius Puts a Twist on Classics for Its 2 1952 Collection
Puffer jackets get bold logos and colors for the brand’s upcoming drop.
Continuing its experimentation with varying product drops, Moncler doubles down on its “Genius” approach for its latest release. Eschewing the concept of seasonal releases, the platform pushes forth innovation and collaboration across different designers to provide a unique experience to consumers.
The Moncler 2 1952 Collection references the Italian brand’s origins from a small village in the Haute Savoie mountains when its signature outerwear was born out of function. Now that Moncler has ballooned into a fashion powerhouse with a bevy of collaborations, it’s taking the opportunity to give its iconic puffer jackets a facelift. With a bit of inspiration from current trends centered around elevated sportswear and a nod to ’80s logomania, the collection features a swathe of bright rainbow-hued coats and vests in its notable billowy aesthetic. Additionally, boldly-printed jackets and pants are shown alongside graphic sweaters, scarves and patches designed around famous ski resorts like Sankt Moritz, Aspen, Gstaad, Zermatt and Megève.
Moncler’s 2 1952 collection will be available starting Sept. 6 at Moncler website and boutiques worldwide, along with select retailers. Take a look at the full selection in the gallery above and take a peek at END’s latest editorial featuring items from the Genius diffusion.
