Appearing on 88rising‘s “Karaoke Royale,” Californian rapper KYLE covered Kid Cudi‘s “Pursuit of Happiness” — describing it as his favorite song. As well as giving his take on a Cudi classic, KYLE also performed a live version of his recent single “Nothing 2 Lose.”
Explaining his choice of songs, KYLE told the show’s hosts that “Pursuit of Happiness” got him through “a lot of tough times,” before saying that “Kid Cudi has a special gift to make music that can pick somebody up from a super dark place and put them in this happy, awesome, positive Pikachu-filled place, and I always aspire to do the same things.”
