Kodak Black Shares Remix of Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow"
First artist to remix a remix of his song.
Yesterday, Kodak Black teased a remix of Cardi B‘s “Bodak Yellow.” This is unusual as “Bodak Yellow” is actually a remix of the Florida rapper’s breakout single “No Flockin,” which was released in 2014 as the lead single of his second mixtape, Heart of the Projects. Well, the full version of the remix has finally arrived.
Although the similarities between “Bodak Yellow” and “No Flockin” is very apparent, JWhiteDidIt, the producer of “Bodak Yellow,” revealed that “No Flockin” was not on his mind when he made the beat. “I wasn’t thinking about ‘No Flockin’ honestly,” the producer told Complex. “I honestly never heard the record personally until Cardi started doing her thing and started writing it. I guess she felt that vibe.”
