New Netflix Ad Has Chris Rock & Dave Chappelle Visiting the 'Stranger Things' Realm
As part of the “Netflix Is a Joke” campaign.
Earlier this month, mysterious billboards poking fun at streaming giant Netflix were found popping up around the cities of New York and Los Angeles. With nothing more than large black font that read “Netflix Is a Joke,” many people were left confused by what it all meant.
However, it turned out to be a stunt put on by Netflix itself to increase exposure for its bevy of comedy content featuring A-list comedians Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, Louis C.K., Sarah Silverman, Tracy Morgan, and a new special from Jerry Seinfeld releasing on the site. And just last night during the Emmy’s, Netflix unveiled a video accompaniment to go along with the campaign.
The new ad see comedians Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen DeGeneres jumping into the realms of Netflix’s hit shows The Crown, Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards and Stranger Things. Chappelle released two new stand-up specials on Netflix back in March. Seinfeld, meanwhile, is set to release Jerry Before Seinfeld on September 19. Check out the full clip above.
