With the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards now underway, it’s time to acknowledge and celebrate the very best of the best in television programming. For those who have been keeping tabs on this momentous event, nominees were announced back in July with anticipation steadily building all throughout the summer. Of the many potential winners are HBO’s Westworld and NBC’s Saturday Night Live, who comfortably lead the pack with 22 nominations each. Hosted by Stephen Colbert at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the night will surely uncover plenty of surprise twists and interesting storylines as winners in each category are announced.
