Luke Vicious Adopts a Subtle Approach in Creating New Vans Authentic Custom
Minimal and clean.
Closely following his recent 2017 “ERA” collection, in which revered custom designer Luke Vicious fashioned a small assemblage of pieces — toying with the theme of terror-filled fears, we now take a peek at his latest footwear design. With bespoke sneaker creations seemingly flooding our news feeds, the artist took aim at showcasing a side of the craft that spoke to the subtle nature of artistic personalization.
Choosing to rework the classic Vans Authentic silhouette, Luke removed the original stitching found on the upper — creating a true tonal black & white footwear option. The round boot laces feature hits of yellow, which add pops of contrast, while the pressed branded tag completes the look.
