Kendrick Lamar Links up With Rich The Kid For "New Freezer"
K.Dot lends an assist to the ATL rapper’s forthcoming LP.
It’s been a big month for Rich The Kid. First, the ATL rapper appeared in Philipp Plein’s Spring/Summer 2018 runway show — along with the likes of Future, 21 Savage, Nicki Minaj, Rae Sremmurd and Metro Boomin — before linking up with Roy Wood$ for “New New.” Now the 25-year-old is back with a brand new drop, following up his music video for “Cookies & Sherbert” with a banger. Dubbed “New Freezer,” the cut features an assist from none other than Kendrick Lamar and appears to be a culmination of the teaser Rich posted on Twitter way back in January. Said the rapper today on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music (where the song made its debut), “It was shocking just to hear Kendrick on a song with me. It feels like magic.”
