Kaytranada‘s debut album 99.9% has won the 2016 Polaris Music Prize. The award honors the year’s best album by a Canadian artist, and also comes with a $50,000 check. 99.9% beat albums by Grimes, Carly Rae Jepson, White Lung and more. The Montreal producer shares in his acceptance speech: “Wow, this is amazing. Unbelievable moment right now.” The night featured performances from Carly Rae Jepsen, White Lung, Jessy Lanza, U.S. Girls, Black Mountain, and others.
