Perhaps one of the most memorable incidents at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards was Kanye West‘s epic Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech and bid for presidency. However, it has been revealed that he was also supposed to perform, but plans were changed mid-show. Executive producer Van Toffler told Billboard: “We decided to be open to whatever Kanye wanted because he’s given us so many moments — unexpected ones. So we weren’t sure whether he would break into song or not.
