Stream Kamasi Washington's Fast-Paced New "Harmony of Difference" EP
The latest project from Kendrick’s go-to saxophonist.
It’s been two years since LA-based jazz musician Kamasi Washington last released a project under his own name. Since then, though, he’s continued his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on DAMN. and appeared alongside Sampha and Wiki on Everything Is Recorded’s “Mountains of Gold.” Washington has now returned with Harmony of Difference, a six-track EP released via Young Turks.
The first single from Harmony of Difference was released back in April, with “Truth” coming with a three-part short film. The track names — “Desire,” “Humility,” “Knowledge,” “Perspective,” and “Integrity” — have been described by Washington as being the “elements of Truth,” the title of the EP’s closing track. You can stream the project in its entirety now.
