Already known for its lineup of cooperative designs, 1017 ALYX 9SM continues its collaborative relationship with mountain footwear specialist ROA for the Fall/Winter 2018 season. This time around, designer Matthew Williams offered a new high-visibility rework of ROA’s signature rugged Oblique footwear model.
Straying away from the darker looks of last season’s collaboration, the upper of the shoe is constructed of a bright orange tactical nylon, reinforced by strap cording at the midfoot area. Breaking up the tonal upper is the contrasting black padded tongue, rugged heel counter and breathable mesh lining. Expressing the trail look of the shoe is a chunky rubber Vibram sole unit sculpted with a traction focus, a cotton fastening cord and a metal lace hook closure system.
Priced at $628 USD, the ALYX x ROA FW18 Low Hiking Boot “Orange/Black” is available now on alyxstudio.com and at select retailers.
In case you missed it, ALYX teamed up with Mackintosh on a utilitarian FW18 Layered Formal Coat.
