Shaboozey Pays Homage to Led Zeppelin in "Robert Plant"
A tribute to ’70s pop culture.

New rapper Shaboozey pays homage to legendary band Led Zeppelin in new song “Robert Plant” by titling the song after the band’s singer and grabbing a sample of Zep’s “Ramble On.” The video finds the rapper dressed in ’70s garments, with the set complete with cassette players, an old-school tour bus in the middle of the desert and more. “I created this to honor the heroes who were fearless enough to express themselves as individuals, regardless of what society thought of them or deemed politically correct,” he tells Complex.
“I consider this to be more of a short film than just a traditional music video,” Shaboozey says. “The song and video for ‘Robert Plant’ was inspired from a place of pure love for what pop culture was in those days. It wasn’t just the music, or the style, it was the raw authenticity of what those things were, what they represented.”
