'Guardians of the Galaxy' Drops a Wild Disco-Themed Music Video With David Hasselhoff
Warp tunnels and fake aliens.
The marketing team for Marvel Studios‘ Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has been going all out with zany, retro-inspired goodies, such as the Doritos collaboration chip bag that doubles as a cassette player for the GotG Vol. 2 soundtrack. Not shying away from ridiculous advertising and vintage ’80s style, Guardians of the Galaxy has released a disco-themed music video for its original track “Inferno” with David Hasselhoff. The hilarious video adopts all of the classic throwback era effects including lo-fi warp tunnels and cheesy Solid Gold-inspired visuals, while fake aliens and a sequin jumpsuit-clad David Hasselhoff perform some glorious throwback moves. The video also features cameos by the film’s stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, director James Gunn, Marvel’s Stan Lee and even Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s Guillermo.
