Coming from the nexus of Canada’s fast-growing endlessly-creative music environment, Canadian duo Once A Tree has the sort of start most up-and-coming acts can only dream of. More importantly, the husband and wife team has the sort of striking abilities that warrant an affiliation with one of modern music’s dominant forces. Made up of Hayden and Jayli Wolf, Once A Tree is poised to make quite the impact on their country’s increasingly-diverse and evolving creative scene.

With a debut album on course to arrive this September, Once A Tree presents a new single, “Coming Down.” Debuted via its official video, “Coming Down” is a record that ties in perfectly with its creators’ strong bonds. “The song is about being completely content in love,” Jayli Wolf tells us. “That feeling of whole heatedly trusting another person and never wanting that feeling to end. The video represents the circle of life and a deep spiritual connection between two souls. 5 years ago we eloped under a tree in the woods. The lady who married Hayden and I actually played the ‘mature’ me in the video.”

Keeping true to their Canadian roots, the two married artists went out for a mountain trek to film their latest track’s visual. “We went back to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, where Jayli and I first met, to shoot this visual,” Hayden Wolf explains. “We didn’t have a film crew so it was a trip trying to conceptualize and shoot everything on our own.”

You can check out Once A Tree’s new single “Coming Down” above, while the duo’s debut studio album Phoenix is scheduled to drop next month.
