Nintendo Switch Has a Hidden VR Mode
A modern-day Virtual Boy.
Hackers have managed to find a VR Mode hidden in the Nintendo Switch‘s firmware, according to Ars Technica. The mode has been hidden on the device for over a year, leading many to believe Nintendo was or is still interested in VR at some point. The feature would’ve split the console’s screen in two, similar to most phones with VR capabilities.
The screen, independent from its Joy-Cons, would then be slid inside a headset device by Nintendo. There’s nothing much to this feature without a component to go along with it, as its screen reads: “Please move the console away from your face and click the close button.” Although the feature has been found, Nintendo has yet to come out with an official word about it.
In other gaming news, Diablo III is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
