At the conclusion of his Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech, Kanye West surprised fans with his announcement to run for president in 2020. While everyone was initially unsure about his seriousness, West now ostensibly admits that he does not actually intend to run for president. As he was leaving Craig’s in West Hollywood, the Chicago-bred artist jokingly promised to offer a free pair of Yeezy’s for everyone if he becomes president.
