John Elliott Enlists Yamaha on a Unisex Capsule & a Special EX Deluxe Waverunner Design
A tribute to Yamaha’s motorsport legacy.
John Elliott follows up recent collaborations alongside Nike, Suicoke, and Selfridges with an all-new venture, linking up with a rather unlikely party. The L.A.-based label recently aligned with Yamaha on a casual capsule collection, constructing an assortment of sportswear-inflicted pieces with the Japanese conglomerate’s logo emblazoned on each.
Paying respects to Yamaha’s rooted motorsports legacy, the unisex lineup not only highlights a small sampling of streetwear staples, including long-sleeve crewneck tops, a French terry hoodie, board shorts, cap and a towel, but a specially-commissioned EX Deluxe Waverunner. A custom one-of-a-kind piece designed by Elliott as the collaboration’s catalyst piece, the high-speed mobile spotlights a glossy ombre red finish with subtle branding found on the side area. The collection will make its debut on August 24 through John Elliott’s online shop as well as SSENSE.
