adidas Skateboarding Debuts Latest 3ST Model: The .003
Aiming to maximize board feel.
Following the sleek, laceless .002 model, adidas Skateboarding introduces the next 3ST silhouette. Referred to in development as “Future Cup” for its blend of old and new craftsmanship, the 3ST.003 is the third release in the 3ST family.
Compared to the 3ST.002, the .003 is a completely different shoe: it sports a lower cut, laces and a fold-down tongue, simultaneously offering ankle protection and a nod to adidas sportswear past. Designed with skaters in mind, a gum rubber outsole boosts board grip and elevates board feel, with adiTuff technology reinforcing the toe box to ensure long-lasting durability. The 3ST.003’s one-piece navy suede upper is also bolstered by heavily textured sidewalls, to further extend the shoe’s lifespan.
The 3ST.003 hits adidas Skateboarding’s website on September 1 for $90 USD, with more colorways likely to debut shortly after.
Most recently, Mark Gonzales debuted his signature Aloha Super fencing-inspired sneaker while recreating his historic 1998 performance piece.
