Vetements SS19 Runway Debuts Spiked Reebok & Oakley Collaborations
Brazen sneakers and sunglasses.

Demna Gvasalia presented new Reebok and Oakley collaborations on the Vetements Spring/Summer 2019 runway show at Paris Couture Week. The Georgian designer’s latest presentation was a nod to his once war-torn home, which saw Gvasalia’s signature ’90s punk codes mixed with nationalistic prints, military camos, guerilla-style leather pieces and “gothic grandma” florals.
Complementing the clothing’s disheveled style were footwear and eyewear ranges that featured spike detailing. The Reebok footwear range debuted several new models which took on the “dad shoe” build with mesh panels, all-over scribbles and aggressively placed metal spikes at the toe, heel and sides. The Oakley eyewear models came in classic sport performance styles featuring colored mirror lenses with spikes at the bottom edge.
