A Neopets mobile app has been something that has been rumored since 2014. It’s now official news that Neopets is developing a mobile game called Legends and Letters. Announced at a party at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, CEO David Lord described the game as mixture of “Neopets lore, a puzzle game mechanic, and battles,” according to The Verge. In addition to the game, the company announced that a mobile site and app are on the way as well, letting users play the mini-games currently available on their broswer site. Legends and Letters is, however, separate from the player’s browser account. This means that the data from the account cannot be transfered to the new game.

The company is looking to launch the game in October this year. Although the website has been active since 1999, it is the first time the company has ventured into the mobile game industry. Stay tuned for more news on Legends and Letters. In other news, Google, Facebook, Microsoft & Twitter have partnered up for an ambitious Data Transfer project.
