Jorja Smith Leads the Way in Mercury Prize 2018 Shortlist
The singer appears alongside Novelist and King Krule.

The shortlist for The Mercury Prize has been released and R&B singer Jorja Smith is one of the names on it. The prize, which runs annually and rewards an outstanding British album, picked Sampha’s Process last year. This time around, the likes of the aforementioned Smith are on the list alongside King Krule, Novelist, Florence + The Machine and Arctic Monkeys.
The Hyundai Mercury Prize will be held on September 20 at London’s Event Apollo and you can see the full shortlist below. In other news, Blood Orange released his video for “Charcoal Baby,” his latest work from upcoming album Negro Swan.
