Infinite Archives SS18 Release Spotlights Significant Cultural Moments of 1986
Chicago creative Easy Otabor looks to the past.
Building on its homage to the significant cultural moments of the past, Chicago creative Easy Otabor‘s fledgling label Infinite Archives‘ Spring/Summer 2018 release puts a spotlight on the year 1986.
Proving history is a vast wellspring full of narratives and creative ideas, the latest release of T-shirts references ‘86 and some of the prominent figures from the year that went on to shape our emerging culture. Leading the set of tees is the “4 Kings” T-Shirt which features a choice group photo of Spike Lee, Andy Warhol, Jean-Micheal Basquiat, and Fab 5 Freddy at the New York premiere of Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It. “The Sweetest Taboo” T-shirt presents an imaginative sketch of singer Sade done by Canadian illustrator, Georgia Bayliss, while the “Tyson” T-shirt references trading cards with a print of a vintage Mike Tyson’s sports card complete with bio on the back. Lastly, Infinite Archives’ permanent “Blur” T-shirt comes in a standout pepper-black washed out base with the logo “Infinite” in purple at the front and “Archives” in orange at the back, along with both a white and black base color iteration.
Priced between $60 and $65 USD, Infinite Archives Spring/Summer 2018 release is available now at select retailers like HBX.
