Blink-182 Finally Knocks Drake's 'VIEWS' out of the Top Spot
The ‘California’ kings are back.
Pop-punk kings Blink-182 are back at it, this time taking down Canadian favorite Drake atop the Billboard charts after a solid nine weeks at number one. Blink-182’s new record California debuted at the top spot making it the first time in 15 years since they have done so with Take Off Your Pants and Jacket in 2001. The new album is the group’s first without its co-founder, singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge, who departed in 2015. Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba has since stepped in for DeLonge. After nine consecutive weeks at number one, Drake’s VIEWS is finally down to the runner-up spot, still managing to sell 117,000 units. Does Drake still have a chance to reign the charts again?
