Summary

  • Drake released three albums simultaneously on May 15 — ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, and HABIBTI
  • According to preliminary projections from Hits Daily Double, ICEMAN is tracking 480,000–520,000 equivalent units in its first week, with the two companion albums each projected in the 110,000–135,000 range
  • The trilogy arrives as Drake continues to chase chart history, currently tied with Michael Jackson at 13 No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100

Drake is looking to dominate next week’s Billboard 200 with his trio of projects: ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, and HABIBTI.

According to preliminary projections from HITS Daily Double, ICEMAN — the long-awaited centrepiece of the trilogy — is on course to open with 480,000 to 520,000 equivalent album units in its first tracking week. Its two unbidden companions, MAID OF HONOUR and HABIBTI, are each projected to move 115,000 to 135,000 and 110,000 to 130,000 units respectively.

The combined impact is less a drop than a market takeover. ICEMAN alone logged the eighth-most first-day streams in Spotify history, tallying 140 million streams on its opening day. Within 48 hours of release, Drake had claimed the title of highest-streamed artist of 2026 on Spotify, with ICEMAN taking the highest-streamed album and “Make Them Cry” highest-streamed song in a single day. The same story played out across Apple Music and Amazon Music.

ICEMAN‘s cover features Drake wearing a sparkly glove reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s, a deliberate nod to the record he’s hunting. The two artists are currently tied at 13 No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and a strong first-week performance puts Drake in position to break that deadlock. Earlier this week, he also made history as the artist with the most albums to spend 10 years on the Billboard 200, surpassing Jackson’s Thriller with three titles — Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, and Views.
