John Krasinski Stars in Amazon Prime's New 'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan' Trailer
The iconic writer’s most famous character is back.
Amazon Prime has unveiled the lead trailer for the forthcoming series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
Set to debut on August 31, Tom’s Clancy Jack Ryan will be introduced via a 10-episode first season and stars John Krasinski as CIA agent and analyst Jack Ryan — one of Tom Clancy’s best-known characters. Previously, Alec Baldwin, Ben Affleck, Harrison Ford and Chris Pine have all assumed the role of Ryan.
“It’s sort of a prequel to the versions of him that you meet in the movies and books,” series co-creator Carlton Cuse tells Entertainment Weekly. The show will document Ryan’s journey during the “critical moment where he goes from being an analyst to being an operative in the CIA.”
