The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo story is continuing with Lisbeth Salander being played by The Crown‘s Claire Foy in The Girl in the Spider’s Web. This will be based on the novel of the same name by David Lagercrantz and is also the first entry in the so-called Millennium series to not be written by the late Stieg Larsson.

Despite winning an Oscar and being financially successful, sequels to David Fincher‘s Dragon Tattoo adaptation could never get off the ground, leaving Sony to relaunch the Swedish-based film franchise with all-new actors and director Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe). In the trailer, we see Salander making men in power face the consequences of their abusive actions against women before delving into hacker skills with a vigilante bent.

Sony’s The Girl in the Spider’s Web hits theaters November 9.
