Portushome Guesthouse in Hungary Offers a Tranquil Escape
A modern rustic abode tucked in the highlands of Dörgicse.

Budapest-based Barna Architects recently completed construction of a sprawling abode tucked in the Balaton highlands of Dörgicse, Hungary. Dubbed the Portushome Guesthouse, the 90-square-meter living space features structural attributes that are both modern and rustic. The self-supporting wooden frame is exposed on the exterior and interior sections of the home coupled with transparent doors and windows placed across the facade to attract plenty of natural light. Altogether, the architecture of the home blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment.
