As part of Maison Margiela’s Fall/Winter 2018 lineup, the luxe high-fashion house recently released its brand new Tabi Fusion Sneaker. Just like its name so poignantly implies, the boot-like hybrid features design elements previously used on past footwear iterations, namely, the Tabi boot and Sockrunner.
Premium calfskin suede blankets the upper in its entirety, with the Tabi’s split toe effect, a full-length zipper closure and an aggressive rubber sole unit forming the shoe’s key creative characteristics. Last but certainly not least, a coat of white paint drowns the sneaker from top to bottom — similar in style to what we’ve seen on the Replica trainer.
