Kanye West Helped Make This Unsigned Rapper's First Album After His Street Audition
Following Big Sean’s footsteps.
Since Kanye West discovered Big Sean and made him a star, it’s been a dream for most unsigned rappers to follow this path to success. Luckily for aspiring artist Cameron Grey, this was the case for him last year. In the video above, Grey is seen approaching Kanye in the car park after a Big Sean performance in LA. Without interruption by security, Grey performed his impromptu audition. It impressed Kanye West so much that Yeezy put him to work with his Grammy-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer for his first full-length album. Titled Cocaine Ferrari, the resulting album has no set release date yet, however the first single “Never Bout Us” from it can be listened to below.
