Villa Eiders Brings Modernity to a Tranquil French Community
Created by Hugues & Edouard Touton.

Based in Lège-Cap-Ferret, this home is the latest to catch our eye. Coming in at 405 sq. meters, it’s an impressive size, which gave the lead architects Hugues & Edouard Touton a great deal to play with. The duo decided to split the volumes as well as blend the wood facade with concrete. The house is shaped around a central courtyard, while the children’s bedrooms are strategically hidden from the street view — done for privacy and to avoid the sun.
The interior also relies heavily on wood, using the material on its ceilings and throughout on tables in order to create visual symmetry. The floor-to-ceiling windows are designed to make the outdoor feel at one with the interior. Take a look through the gallery to see the space for yourself.
