New Video Breaks Down Every Sample on A$AP Rocky's 'TESTING'
From Moby to Lauryn Hill.
To celebrate the arrival of TESTING – which A$AP Rocky finally released last week — a new video has broken down every sample used on the highly anticipated project. The sample list highlights some of the classic artists who feature on the record, ranging from the use of Moby‘s “Porcelain” — which featured on “A$AP Forever” — to the Salt-N-Pepa reference on “Tony Tone.”
The four-minute video clip from the Bandstand team also highlights music from Lauryn Hill and British producer Babyfather, as well as showing Flacko’s breadth of reference with 1970s samples from the likes of Shelley Manne and Roger Webb. Check out the full clip above, which also shows how the various samples are integrated into TESTING.
As well as spotlighting TESTING, Bandstand also revealed every sample used on Pusha T’s Daytona.
