Following on from its “maha Boro” capsule, London-based label maharishi has revealed its own take on the Tabi boot — a split-toe shoe based on the traditional Japanese “jika-tabi” that was adapted and made famous by Maison Margiela. maharishi’s design looks back to the boots utilitarian roots, with a particular focus on its usage for construction workers, farmers, gardeners and soldiers.
The split-toe boot comes in either white or black, and features a canvas construction, classic gum sole, adjustable heel fasteners and Japanese “MILTYPE” print. The Tabi is set to drop exclusively at maharishi’s London store and web store on May 4, and will come with a “MILTYPE” dust bag and Jason Markk travel cleaning kit.
