KAWS Designs New Light Feature for AllRightsReserved
A new version of the BFF.
After collaborating before in the past — including 2016’s “BFF” exhibition in Bangkok — KAWS and AllRightsReserved have linked up again for a new indoor light titled “SEEING.” The joint release sees a version of KAWS’ “BFF” figurine produced from alloy and ceramics. The statue’s eyes contain LED lights, giving the “BFF” its light-up function.
“SEEING” measures 37cm tall, and comes sitting on a 17.8cm white pedestal. The figurine is strictly limited to just 250 editions, each of which is individually numbered and signed by KAWS. The light-up statue will be available for preorder at DING DONG Takuhaiban from 10PM EDT on May 6 (10AM HKT on May 7), with each edition priced at $12,000 USD. Shipping will begin on September 10.
