Instagram Adds New Video Chat & Third-Party Integration Updates
No more switching from app to app.
Instagram has announced a slew of updates set to heighten the user experience. The social media app has shared that new methods to share your favorite moments to Stories will be incorporated through third-party apps. For example, Spotify users will be able to share what they’re listening to with their followers without leaving the app. The feature will use Spotify and GoPro as the inaugural apps with additional ones to follow.
Video chat has also been introduced. This update follows the app’s live video feature and will allow users to chat one-on-one or with a small group of people. Both features are currently available while a redesigned Explore section is to arrive in the coming weeks.
