Biggie's Son Is Set to Release His Debut Album
CJ Wallace says his move into music as “inevitable.”
Christopher Jordan Wallace, the son of the late great Biggie Smalls and Faith Evans, is gearing up to release his debut album later this year. According to a recent interview with Evening Standard, Wallace has been working on the project with half-brother Joshua Jada Russaw, with whom he’ll be debuting as new rap duo “CJ and Jahad.” When asked about the upcoming release, Wallace, who is 20, said: “At a young age I always knew I wanted to do music, it was inevitable. My family always had my back, whatever I’ve wanted to do they’ve supported. They were always giving me advice on what to do and how to go about things.” In addition, CJ will also be pursuing film this year to tell the story of his youngest half-brother, who is currently living with autism. “I’d like to tell the story of what he is going through. A lot of people don’t understand. I want to bring awareness to that and special needs in general.”
CJ’s debut album doesn’t have an official release date yet, but we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available. Meanwhile, you can check out these two rare Biggie freestyles that were recently uncovered by Tim Westwood.
