Yodeling Walmart Kid Delivers Surprise Coachella Performance
Justin Bieber was in attendance for Mason Ramsey’s rendition of “Lovesick Blues.”
Of the many standout sets at this weekend’s Coachella, none are likely to garner as much coverage as Whethan’s. During his Friday afternoon slot, the 18-year-old DJ noted that his mystery guest needs “no introduction,” before introducing Mason Ramsey. After his performance of Hank Williams’s “Lovesick Blues” in an Illinois Walmart went viral, Ramsey became known as the Yodeling Walmart Kid, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and even earned a spot onstage at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.
Check out some of Ramsey’s performance above, and scope Justin Bieber in the crowd-shot video below. In case you couldn’t make it to California for the festival, keep up with the event’s live streams.
