SEGA Japan Unveils a Miniature Version of Its Genesis Console
Moonlighting under the name MegaDrive Mini.
Nintendo has done well to play the nostalgia card over the years — releasing miniature versions of its classic NES and SNES consoles, respectively. Although bootleg versions of SEGA’s Genesis system have been around for some time, it appears as though the Japanese video game developer may, in fact, release a mini rendition of its famed console.
Moonlighting under the MegaDrive Mini name, as per SEGA Japan, it is believed that the small-scale system is strategically being timed to coincide with the Genesis’s 30th anniversary coming up later this year. As of right now, details remain vague, so be sure to check back for future updates.
In case you missed it, Nintendo transforms its Game Boy console into a handy alarm clock.
