The Nike Kobe 1 Protro "Final Seconds" Honors Bryant's Famous Buzzer Beater
Bryant’s number 8 jersey returns.
Following the announcement of the all-black Kobe 1 Protro for “Mamba Day,” Nike Basketball now officially unveils the Kobe 1 Protro “Final Seconds.” To commemorate the triumphant buzzer beater against the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 2006 Western Conference Playoffs, the shoe resembles the home-team jerseys from that season. As the final season before Bryant changed his number to 24, the sneaker honors his previous jersey with the number 8 embroidered on the heel. Retailing for $175 USD, the sneaker will be available on April 14 from Nike retailers, and look out for more retro releases to follow from the “Champions Think” Pack.
