Kobe Bryant‘s first signature sneaker is back for a special celebration. Not too long after DeMar DeRozan debuted them on court, official images have surfaced of the Nike Kobe 1 Protro “Mamba Day.” The colorway pays homage to the Black Mamba’s special day that began in 2016. The upcoming drop is dipped in black with gold detailing on the Swoosh and other areas. The left heel welcomes back Bryant’s 4 lines as a nod to his achilles injury as the right adds the date “4.13.18.” Down each tongue you’ll find “XX” to commemorate his twenty seasons in the league while a special image of Kobe is printed on the insoles.

Retailing for $175 USD, the Nike Kobe 1 Protro “Mamba Day” is expected to arrive on April 13 at select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike SNKRS.

Fans can also take a look at DeMar DeRozan’s all-red version of the shoe.
