Looking to highlight the crossover between football and street culture, Nike recently teamed up with Slam Jam on a special jersey for its ”Brothers of the World” campaign. Focusing on football’s most iconic element, the team up is Slam Jam’s take on the symbol of football fan’s passion for the game and for their team.
Set to release during Milan Design Week, the collaborative jersey celebrates Nike’s 40 years of jersey culture dominance by expressing the sportswear giant’s technical aesthetic with a fashion edge. Mashing up realms of football and street culture, a white base constructed of Nike’s state of the art jersey textile displays ascending gradient horizontal stripes on the front with accenting solid black on the sides. Swoosh branding and a sleek football-inspired shield and chest logo serve as the design elements, while “SLAM JAM” and an exaggerated number 14 on the back round up the design of the collaborative jersey. The Slam Jam collaboration is just the latest in Nike’s ”Brothers of the World” campaign which features various forms from workshops to exhibitions, short-movies and pick-up games.
Set to drop April 19, the Slam Jam x Nike “Brothers of the World” Jersey will be available exclusively online and at Slam Jam Milano.
